Please do not send personal financial details. Account numbers, holdings, broker statements, screenshots of your positions, wallet keys or seed phrases — none of it is needed to answer any question this site can answer, and it should not be sitting in an email inbox. Nobody from VirtualSun will ever ask you for them.
What is worth writing about
- Something is broken. A page that will not load, a chart that renders empty, a score that contradicts the numbers next to it. Include the page, the ticker or coin, your browser, and roughly when it happened.
- A ticker is missing or stuck. The ETF desk works from a fixed universe of funds; issuers close and rename them, and when that happens the provider stops returning data. Naming the ticker is enough.
- A fund or coin should be covered. Suggestions for the ETF universe are welcome. US-listed, reasonably liquid, and with a real reason to be on the list.
- A news source should be added or dropped. The feed list is deliberately short and made of established outlets. If a feed here is consistently publishing low-quality material, that is useful to know.
- You are a publisher. See the note below.
- You found a security problem. Also below — please read that first.
What cannot be answered
Not out of unhelpfulness, but because answering would be both useless and, in most jurisdictions, something a licensed professional is required to do:
- Whether to buy, sell, or hold anything.
- Reviews of your portfolio, allocation, or position sizing.
- Price targets, forecasts, or “where is this going”.
- Tax, legal, or regulatory questions.
- Help with a broker, exchange, wallet, or transaction. VirtualSun holds no assets, executes no trades, and has no access to any account of yours.
The methodology page explains exactly what each score measures, which is the honest version of what a “what should I do” answer would be reaching for.
For publishers
Headlines are read from feeds the publisher makes public, and each item shows the outlet’s name, a headline, a short excerpt where the feed provides one, and a link straight to the original article. Nothing is rehosted, reproduced in full, or presented as VirtualSun’s own work, and articles are never placed behind anything.
If you would like your feed removed, an item corrected, or the attribution changed, write in and say so — removal requests are actioned, not debated. Please send the request from an address at the publication’s own domain and name the feed URL.
Reporting a security issue
Reports are welcome and taken seriously. Use the same address, put SECURITY in the
subject line, and describe what you found and how to reproduce it. Please give a reasonable window
to fix an issue before publishing it, and do not run automated scanners, load tests, or anything
that would degrade the site for other visitors — a single proof-of-concept request is enough to
demonstrate almost anything.
There is no bug bounty programme. There is genuine thanks, and credit if you want it.
Before writing in
Two things account for most of what gets reported:
- Fund prices look a day behind. They are. ETF data is end-of-day closes, not live quotes, and the status line under the ETF board names the session it is showing.
- A few names are missing from the board. The board tolerates a handful of dead tickers rather than failing outright, and lists the ones it could not load in the status line. Both are covered on the data sources page.
