The short version. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party tags. Nothing you do on this site is recorded, profiled, or sold. Your settings are saved in your own browser and never leave it. The one thing worth knowing is that the crypto pages fetch prices directly from CoinGecko, and news images load from publishers — so those companies see your IP address, exactly as they would if you visited them yourself.
What is not collected
- No accounts. There is nothing to register for and no password to store.
- No cookies. The Site sets none, for any purpose, including analytics.
- No analytics or telemetry. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixels, no heatmaps, no session recording, no A/B testing.
- No advertising or tracking scripts. None, from anyone.
- No profiles. Nothing tracks which coins or funds you look at, what you search for, or what you star. That information is not transmitted anywhere.
- Nothing is sold or shared. There is no data to sell, no mailing list, and no data-sharing arrangement with any party.
What your browser stores locally
The Site remembers your preferences using your browser’s own local storage. This data stays on your device, is readable only by this site, and is never sent to any server — not even to the one hosting the Site:

Clearing site data in your browser erases all of it, and the Site works normally without it. Your watchlist lives only in that one browser on that one device; it is not backed up anywhere, and it will not follow you to another machine.
What the server sees
The Site is hosted by a third-party web host, which keeps standard server logs as part of operating any website: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, referrer, and user agent. These are ordinary operational records used for security and troubleshooting, retained according to the host’s own policy, and not used to build any profile of you. Server-side error logs may record technical details of a failure; they do not record visitor behaviour.
The Site’s own caches store upstream provider responses — prices and headlines. They contain no information about visitors.
Third parties your browser contacts directly
This is the part that most privacy policies bury, so it is stated plainly. When these requests happen, that company receives your IP address, your user agent, and the fact that you were on this site:
- CoinGecko — the crypto desk and the front page may fetch prices from
api.coingecko.comdirectly from your browser. Where the caching proxy is installed, the server fetches instead and CoinGecko sees only the server. - Alternative.me — the Fear & Greed index, in the same way.
- News publishers — article thumbnails are loaded from whichever publication ran the story, so the image is served by that publisher.
- Any site you click through to — headlines link to the publisher, and from that moment their privacy policy applies, not this one.
Each of these is governed by that company’s privacy policy. If you would rather not make those requests, a content blocker will stop them; the Site degrades gracefully.
What the server fetches on your behalf
ETF prices and news headlines are fetched by the server, not by your browser. Stooq, Yahoo Finance, and the eighteen news feeds therefore see requests from the Site’s host, with no information about you attached.
If you write to the address on the contact page, that message and your address sit in an ordinary mailbox and are used only to answer you. They are not added to any list. Please do not send financial account details, holdings, or wallet keys — they are never needed to answer anything.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or erase personal data held about you. In practice there is very little to exercise them against: no account exists, no profile is built, and the only records are the host’s standard server logs and any email you chose to send. Requests can be made through the contact page.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any change that would introduce tracking, analytics, or advertising would be stated prominently rather than slipped into this paragraph.
